The SEB is committed to supporting its members and the wider scientific community in Education and Public Affairs. We work to enhance the impact of bioscience research so that it is disseminated into the public domain. This includes inspiring school students about science, promoting new developments in bioscience to the public, and providing a platform for our members to engage with broader audiences. In addition we offer support in education, training, policy and career development:

  • Training and Education workshops for academics and early-career scientists
  • A voice to government on issues of science and education policy
  • Career management and development for early-career scientists
  • Education and public engagement activities
  • Media and press release service

Our Section committee comprises bioscience researchers whose expertise is described here.
