Research impact has many definitions. According to the Australian Research Council "research impact is the contribution that research makes to the economy, society, environment or culture, beyond the contribution to academic research".
Impact is a complex topic and scientists have increasingly been questioned, especially by funding agencies and research organisations globally, about their research’s impact.
This workshop will give you a clear understanding of impact within the context of your work. You will start to develop an impact plan for a new or current project.
This half-day online workshop will cover:
- What is research impact in the context of fundamental research
- Terms and definitions used in research impact
- Creating impact from fundamental research - your impact pathway
- Planning for impact
Session: 28 January from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (UK time).*
