Meet Sarah Ellerington, our new governance officer!

"I am excited to have recently started working at the Society for Experimental Biology as Governance Officer. I have been a teacher for the past 5 years and am excited to be bringing many of the transferable skills I have learnt to my new role- as well as learning plenty of new ones! SEB is the perfect place for me to start a new career, in a society that shares my love of learning and sharing knowledge. In my spare time, I love to be outdoors, and you’ll usually find me out hiking or gardening.  If it’s raining, I am also a boardgame enthusiast. 

At SEB, I am responsible for SEB’s meetings for the Council and Audit and Risk Committee as well as documentation relating to governance and providing general support to the CEO/Senior Leadership. I am really pleased to have joined the team, especially in this special Centenary year."
