RSB POLICY LATES: WHY PROTECT OCEAN BIODIVERSITY?

The Royal Society of Biology is running a Policy Lates panel discussion looking at the benefits humans derive from marine organisms and ecosystems, and why biodiversity is important for many aspects of life outside of the ocean.
Chaired by Professor Melanie Austen FRSB, University of Plymouth, the panel will discuss the value of marine biodiversity to people, including the interactions between the marine environment and the global climate, and the challenges of developing international conservation targets for the world's oceans.
